Expanding our Team and Potential

I’m very big on systems, protocols and goals. I believe goals are great for outlining targets to reach for, however, systems are how we create a plan to attain those goals. So, within our practice we devise systems, sets of checks and balances, and systematic processes to help optimize our practice functionality, our patient experience, and our administrative effectiveness. I was very confident in our set up, however, once Virtual Team Member help was introduced into our practice, it completely flipped our systems upside down…. and for the better.

To be honest, I was very skeptical adding Virtual Team Members into our practice and I was worried it could potentially work me out of a job. We eventually decided to move forward with outsourcing and hiring a Virtual Team Member. I wasn’t really sure what I was doing, what to expect, and what I would have them do but I knew that we needed additional help. After hiring our first Virtual Team Member, it was a little awkward until we figured out a system that worked for us. Over the course of a few weeks’ things started to click and there was an immediate impact on accomplishing various tasks within the practice. Before I knew it, the experience that I encountered began to spread like wildfire throughout the practice as additional Virtual Team Members came on board. Similar to what I experienced, it didn’t take long for our in-house team to figure out new systems and ways to utilize these reinforcements of help. Soon thereafter, my team was completely refining their day-to-day systems and optimizing their workflow.

In the matter of a short few weeks, the medical practice went through a complete transformation and evolved into something so much stronger and more powerful than before. Everything in the practice changed, and for the better. No longer did it feel as if we were trudging through the day-to-day grind but now, we all felt empowered as if a switch had been flipped. Better yet, we all began to see the potential of what we could accomplish. Team Members were more excited, developed their own ideas on how to improve and expand, and there was a new sense of potential amongst everyone. This is the impact outsourcing Virtual Team Members had on our practice, and I promise you this is a great resource that your practice and you personally can experience as well!
